Review for Shanklin & Sandown

Reviewer Score:

Shanklin and Sandown is a worth making the short ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight. There are some decent golf courses on the island which combine to make a different golf trip. Shanklin heads the list but Freshwater Bay is a good track too and the 9 hole Osbourne is a little gem in grounds of Osbourne House. Back to S&S, great variety to the holes with two intriguing uphill P3’s. Greens were top drawer when we played here last year. For around £30 a round this is good value golf and I said earlier the IOW is a different place to visit for a value golf trip.
