Review for Sheringham

Reviewer Score:

Ah Sheringham, a lovely course with super sea views and some testing 400-yard plus par fours. Don’t come here expecting to play a classic links, this cliff-top course has park-like turf and when we played here last weekend the greens were receptive and were holding the ball well. A couple of blind drives make things a bit of a lottery but that apart, everything is laid out in front of you and the bunkering is bold and prominent. The trains still run with alarming regularity and this makes Sheringham even more special. The clubhouse atmosphere is traditional but not stuffy – everyone is friendly. Well worth playing alongside the true links courses at Hunstanton and Brancaster.
