Sherwood Forest Golf Club

I was pleased to return to a course in last played in 2017 when it beat me up fairly badly in a scratch open event.

A couple of early caveats they had just done greens maintenance and the course was so “burnt out” after a very dry summer.

Playing Sherwood Forest Golf Club is both a test and a treat.

This was an NCG top 100 golf event, and it was a fantastic day.

A true Harry Colt heathland, where the land created the natural drama and then Mr Colt did the rest.

I would love to return when the heather surrounding the course is in full bloom.

Played May 2024.

I could not get a good fix on Sherwood Forest.
