Review for Simola

Reviewer Score:

We played this one and Pezula on the same day, which was pretty exhausting, but not a bad experience at all! I will say that with the name of Jack plus the piece of land you can admire from the Club House, you can expect something really good. It will not disappoint you, but in all the Fam Trip attendants it is nSimola Golf Course - Photo by reviewerot as good as her neighbour. Said this, it is a very good course, very playable and with greens of the highest quality, they were yes at the highest standard of all the trip. some putters we faced were very very fast, due not only to the quality of the grass and maintenance, but also to the level changes. We played some spectacular holes: 1, tee shot 2nd from almost 50m of the fairway, 8th, 9th, 10th, a lot of great shots which demand not only accuracy but also imagination. Long par 3 6th, playing almost 225yds is maybe the most dramatic shot to a green located 20m below the tee level, with a very dense wood playing as hazard on the right side. Short 8th is also great, were you can go for it and par 3 9 is very tough, with the green breaking from end to beginning quite a lot. The best part of this property is the very nice villas adyacent to the course, which you can rent at very affordable prices. So if you want to save some money from staying at Fancourt, this is the place! If you plan a trip to South Africa stay at Fancourt and play: Links, Montagu, Oubaai, Pinnacle Point, Simola and Pezula. I challenge you to find something better around the world!
