Singha Park Khon Kaen

The course at Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club opened in 2009 and it immediately made its mark on the professional circuit by hosting the King’s Cup on the Asian Tour. The event was then played annually on the course until 2016, when it switched to Phoenix Gold Golf Club.

Managed by the Santiburi Group, the hospitality company that operates several other well-respected Thai courses, the Singha Park course is set out next to the Singha Beer brewery on low-lying land that was formerly used as a marshy waste disposal site for the by-products of the beer production process.

Today, this reclaimed land has been put to good use, with fairways carpeted in Seashore Paspalum weaving in and out of nine lakes, bringing water into play at sixteen holes. With that level of aquatic interference, astute course management and precise play, as opposed to brute force, is what’s required to score well on this testing track.
