Extending to 6,676 yards from the back markers and playing to a par of 72 (37 out then 35 in), this tree-lined course is set out as two returning nines, with water only coming into play at one hole, the par four 17th, where a pond lies in wait to the right of the putting surface.
Highlight holes include the first of three par fives on the front nine at the 502-yard 3rd (which doglegs left from tee to green) and the long par four 7th (rated stroke index 1) with out of bounds all the way down the right side of the fairway before it arrives at a sand-protected green.
On the back nine, the 424-yard 13th is another challenging par four, sliding left from the tee towards a green that’s fronted by a large bunker. The 382-yard 18th ends a four-hole sequence of tough par fours at the end of the round, featuring a couple of imposing fairway bunkers and another two intimidating greenside sand traps.
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
