St Annes Old Links Golf Club

A true links test, especially on a windy day.

NEVER judge a book by its cover.

Loved the setup and the hosting, played the old links trophy in early May, stayed locally and well worth the 3hr drive.

There is a lot to like about the Old Links at St Annes with its open and flat aspect, fast running fairways, true greens and exposure to the prevailing coastal winds coming off the Irish Sea.

A true tough links challenge

Turning up with the forecast looking very grim and not looking like a good day for golf.

From the blue Championship tees this course can really hurt you.

Glorious sunny, windswept day on the Fylde coast, playing as truer a links course as you will find.

This course is a gem.

St Anne’s Old is better than I expected as I was told to avoid it.

Over the years I have played SAOL many many times and after a 2 year break I re-visited the course to play it straight after final open qualifying.
