Stoke Rochford

Stoke Rochford Golf Club was founded in 1924 with a 9-hole course which WH Aitken modified five years later. SV Hotchkin then fashioned a new 18-hole layout in 1935, removing two holes previously played in front of Stoke Rochford Hall.

Nowadays, the course measures 6,313 yards from the back markers, with par set at 70 (35 out then 35 in). Water hazards threaten occasionally, as with Fish Pond off the tee at the short par four 13th which then runs along the right side of the fairway on the tough par four 14th.

Other holes of note include the only two par fives on the card at the 2nd and 16th, along with the longest of the par threes at the downhill 7th, where the tee shot must fly the meandering Cringle Brook on its way to a green which features out of bounds to the back of the putting surface.
