The 18-hole layout at Stone Canyon Golf Club is a Greg Norman design, with stone walls and outcrops incorporated into the course routing. The spectacular par four 3rd is the signature hole, played to a green nestling in an amphitheatre of rocks.

Stone Canyon Golf Club
Neither “Canyon” nor “Greg Norman” are common concepts when one thinks of Missouri, however both are on display at Stone Canyon Golf Club east of Kansas City. Even Americans argue over the true definition of the “Mid-West,” so it’s not so fantastic for Stone Canyon to claim being The Shark’s only design in that region; the next closest club that could make that argument is located in the vicinity of Chicago.
There is no debate, however, regarding the “canyon” nature of the property at Stone Canyon, as rocky walls are the prime source of aesthetic fascination at the club. The course’s signature hole is No. 3, a par four that ends with a green tucked into a natural stone amphitheater.
This is hardly a desert club, however, like Norman’s entries out West. When not facing canyon surrounds, players will be treated to rolling hills and trees as more commonly expected at a Missouri property.
