Strasbourg (Jaune & Rouge)
Golf Club de Strasbourg was founded in 1935, when an 18-hole layout was brought into play. In the 1970s, the popularity of the club grew to such an extent that a decision was made to add a third nine, designed by Donald Harradine, extending the golf provision to a 27-hole complex.
The Jaune nine (3,213 metres, par 37) and Rouge nine (2,885 metres, par 36) form the 18-hole layout of first choice at Strasbourg but the Blanc nine (2,949 metres, par 35) shouldn’t be dismissed too easily, especially as the water-laden 4th and 5th on that loop are two of the best holes on the property.

“The hardest holes are grouped at the start of the Jaune but the full layout is anything but intimidating, and while this classic set-up hardly has the same visual or technical excitement of modern courses, even the best players will find themselves in trouble if they don’t keep it straight.”
