Summit Point

The real estate company, Sta. Lucia, developed the Summit Point golf and residential facility, commissioning Robert Trent Jones Junior to design a replica course (opened in 2005) with holes copied from Augusta National, Cypress Point and other world famous layouts.

Stretching to 6,775 yards from the back tees, the layout plays to a par of 72, with holes arranged as two returning nines around four large man-made water features. These aquatic hazards come into play at almost half the holes (four on each nine), most memorably at the par five 9th and par four 18th which are routed around two sides of the same lake.

Highlight holes include the very narrow right doglegging par four 7th (with a tree-lined out of bounds running along the right of the fairway) and the left bending par five 16th, where eight fairway pot bunkers and five large greenside bunkers are in place to catch wayward shots played between tee and green.
