Summit Golf Club is located outside of Toronto in Richmond Hill, ON. The course was built in 1912 by George Cumming. Summit may be the most hilly course I've played in the city and its use of the full property given makes for an incredible round of golf. The hilly topography throughout provides challenging lies and difficult shots to be made but that's all a part of what makes this course so special. The undulating fairways and elevated greens just flow so well with the course. The routing at Summit is one of the more fun routings I've experienced and the use of par 3s,4s and 5s just seem to flow. The green contours are evident and just make for some great greens throughout the course. Summit is a walkable golf course and has tee decks for players of all handicaps. Hole #1 has an elevated tee shot into the valley which starts you off with a beautiful yet challenging opening hole. Hole #18 is one of the best finishing holes I've seen to date. It's a challenging par 4 that climbs back out of the valley and up to the clubhouse with a wonderful green complex. Summit will be a top course in the country for a long time to come and I think it will continue to be one of the more fun rounds of golf you can play.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
