The Old course at Sunningdale is one of the British Isles’ most aesthetically pleasing inland courses. Arguably, it was the first truly great golf course to be built on the magical Surrey/Berkshire sand-belt.

Sunningdale old is synonymous with old classic heathland golf at its absolute best and doesnt disappoint on any level.
Its earned the nickname of the English Augusta which resonates when you take your seat in the classic clubhouse looking out to the large Oak Tree resembling one at Augusta with the green in the background.
Like anything perfect it doesnt any superlatives - Its just tells it own story . One to def play in your lifetime.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
