Swaffham will always hold a place in my heart. The one place my late grandfather used to love going to. He was never any good at golf but gave him so enjoyment.
Swaffham is actually a well laid out course in my opinion. The condition is always consistent which a few other courses of similar quality in the county lack. It's very tight in places and driving is the key to success here. The greens aren't overly difficult to hold and read but being straight off the tee will be a massive help as some holes you can be in the fairway but also position Z.
I do like the contrast in holes, some with blind tee shots, some needing immense accuracy and some so simple to the eye (not always the case!)
In all honesty, it's never going to get a great deal of attention to players outside of Norfolk but I would probably recommend this after the top four of Hunstanton, Royal West Norfolk, King's Lynn and Thetford.
