Work began in 2018, but the decision was made to delay the official opening until the completion of the luxurious on-site hotel, along with a state-of-the-art performance centre and driving range.
Routed over a hilly site, the course has lots of variety in the design and some dramatic elevation changes. The most memorable holes include the 7th and 9th, two stunning par-4s, and the 8th, a short par-3, which combine to create a wonderful finish to the round.
Offering four sets of tees, the course measures just over 6500 Yards from the back tees, with the shortest tees coming in at just under 5000 Yards.
The arrival of a second course in Tbilisi with such high-end facilities should encourage those looking for a new destination to give Georgia a try. IMG have been involved with managing the 2-year grow-in period, which has elevated the course to the high level we see today.
