Tamahka Trails
The 18-hole layout at Tamahka Trails Golf Club is part of the Paragon Casino Resort which is owned and operated by the Tunica-Biloxi Indian Tribe.
Opened at the start of the new millennium, the course is a Steve Smyers design that extends to just over 7,000 yards, playing to a par of 71.
The course is laid out as two returning loops of nine holes within a 230-acre tract of naturally rolling terrain, with winding creeks and majestic, century-old trees characterizing the landscape.
Don’t expect to play a run-of-the-mill resort course here as Tamahka Trails has been used three times for U.S. Open qualifying and it regularly hosts events for the Louisiana Golf Association.
Feature holes include the right doglegged 433-yard 7th, the short par four 8th, the water-protected par three 11th and the well-bunkered 435-yard 18th.
Nathan Crace completed a course renovation at the club in 2020, with the refurbishment of all the bunkers as the main aim of the upgrade. Better Billy Bunker liners were installed, drainage lines were replaced and around 40,000 square feet of former sand hazards converted to grass. New tees were also installed, along with work done to fairways and cart paths.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
