About an hour’s drive to the south of Surabaya, Indonesia’s second largest city, in the resort area of Prigen lies the course that Jack built at the Taman Dayu Golf Club.
Opened in 1995, Taman Dayu has established itself as one of Indonesia’s best and most private courses and it sits in a resort spanning more than 600 hectares which includes exclusive homes and country club facilities.
Taman Dayu is a Jack Nicklaus Signature track measuring 7,165 yards from the championship tees and here’s what the Golden Bear had to say about his creation:
“We have designed a course that fits naturally into the environment, provides a good test of golf for all players and features spectacular views and scenery.”
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
