Te Puke

Golf at Te Puke dates back to 1921 and the club operated at a few different sites before finally setting at its current location on what was then a dairy farm back in 1978. In more recent times, Denis Clark has prepared a 20-year master plan for the layout.

Measuring 6,151 metres within a 110-acre property, the course plays to a par of 72 and holes are arranged as two returning nines, each of which starts and finishes with a par five. The only water hazard of note is a small pond that sits between the 1st and 18th fairways.

Highlight holes include the first (and shortest) of the par threes at the 129-metre 2nd; the stroke index 1-rated par four 6th (with out of bounds to the right); and the par five 18th which plays slightly uphill to a home green with bunkers to the front and rear of the putting surface.
