Extending to nearly 7,400 yards from the back markers, the course at Tennessee National Golf Club is a Greg Norman design which is laid out on a bend in the Tennessee River, forming the sporting focal point of a waterfront real estate development.

The gated community nestles in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, with more than three and a half miles of frontage on Watts Bar Lake offering residents access to the golf course, a marina, salt water swimming pool and literally miles of wooded and open walking and hiking trails.

Unveiled in 2006, this easily walkable course features revetted pot bunkers – reminiscent of an Irish or Scottish links design – with five sets of tees on every hole. Generously wide fairways ensure the course is playable for players of all abilities, from novices to accomplished golfers.

Notable holes include the 242-yard par three 2nd, playing to a hillside green; the 391-yard 5th offering fairway options either side of a centreline bunker; the 209-yard 12th, where the tee shot carries across a riverside gully; and the 189-yard 17th with its green protruding out into a little river inlet.
