The Thai Country Club just outside of Bangkok was a very new course when it hosted the Asian Honda Classic in 1997. Almost to script, Tiger Woods won the tournament by 10 shots setting a course record of 64 on the way.

The vast majority of leisure golfers that have played this course cannot stop raving about the experience. Superb hospitality, first class facilities, outstanding f&b and great course condition. Well i agree with all that too and understand why many golfers love this course. As do I. It is true that Thai Country Club like many other golf courses in Bangkok area are on flat ground, which sort of limits the shot making experience. But at the same time, I cant say that the course is devoid of challenge, especially if you are a medium handicapper like me or a high handicapper. It is not as hard as Alpine or Nikanti, but there is no reason to miss this on a premium golfing experience in Bangkok. The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
