Thai Country club a few weeks out from hosting an Asian PGA tournament was picture perfect. However, the greens were almost up to their first cut and roll so weren’t as pure but everything else was immaculate. The course is a relatively flat piece of land and plays like a lake land Florida style PGA course. 

The rough proved to be the biggest challenge. The over-seeded and ankle high rough coupled with a few hours of monsoon rain played havoc. Especially with the amount of approach shots where water is in play. 

Stand out hole with the Par 5 5th which asked many a question if you got your tee shot away. The 18th green might steal the show for a with nothing but a baby draw approach standing any chance of holding the 8 meter back portion of the green.

Some amazing history is found within including the tribute to Tiger woods drive on the Par 4 10th. Considering the equipment he played with, absolute insanity! The conditioning was outstanding and helped a fairly uninspiring piece of land truly pop. Can't wait to come back and black it firm and fiery!
