Country Club at Muirfield Village

Many of us are familiar with the design of Jack Nicklaus and his association in The Muirfield Village Golf Club, that plays host to the annually held Memorial Tournament. In the years following the completion of this coveted location, Nicklaus also laid out the Muirfield Village Country Club as the center of a more socially-oriented private membership.

It was the result of a more enjoyable course, but it's certainly not a walkover. With a distance of 6,750 yards, you don't have to be an Tiger from the tees however, one must deal with regular hazards of sand and water which include a miniature "church pews" at the No. 13 a 514-yard hole five (still the bunkers could be a better landing spot than the lake that flows through the entire left-hand right side).

As with its more famous neighbour, Muirfield Village Country Club is not lacking in terms of maintaining. Since 2010, the course undergone a 3-chapter "modernization plan" that has included the addition, removal and re-construction of bunkers and also an overhaul of the irrigation system as well as other maintenance areas. The course is likely to host people more than its renowned neighbour, but that's the reason to keep well-maintained.
