The Dyke Golf Club was formed in 1906, but the layout was destroyed by practicing tanks and was rebuilt after the war by Fred G. Hawtree and his son Fred W. Frank Pennink described it as “undoubtedly the best of the courses in the Brighton orbit”.

A great test of golf
I recently had the pleasure of playing at the stunning golf course located in the south of England, near the coast, and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had. The combination of picturesque coastal views and the well-maintained course made it an unforgettable day.
The location itself was a sight to behold. As you teed off, you could see the glistening waters of the ocean in the distance, and the sound of seagulls added to the coastal ambiance. The natural beauty of the area created a serene and calming atmosphere that made every swing of the club even more enjoyable.
The course was in impeccable condition. The fairways were lush and perfectly manicured, and the greens were fast and true. It was evident that the staff put a great deal of effort into maintaining the course. The bunkers were well-placed and added a nice challenge to the game, without being overly punishing.
One of the aspects that truly impressed me was the layout of the course. It was challenging enough to keep things interesting for experienced golfers, yet forgiving enough for those still honing their skills. The variety of holes, with some featuring blind shots and others taking full advantage of the coastal terrain, made each hole a unique and exciting experience.
The clubhouse and facilities were also top-notch. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the post-round meal was delicious. It was a great way to relax and chat about the highlights of the day while enjoying the panoramic views of the coast.
In conclusion, this golf course in the south of England, near the coast, is a gem. It offers a fantastic golfing experience with breathtaking scenery and a well-maintained course. I highly recommend it to golfers of all skill levels, and I can't wait to return for another round in this beautiful coastal setting.
