Just returned from a trip to Sawgrass and I can report that the course is as fun to play as it looks on TV. The first few holes are not overly taxing although the first requires and accurate tee shot. The run of holes 4-7 are fantastic, the 5th and 7th are real brutes. The 9th is a cracking hole with a tiny well protected green. The back nine is where Sawgrass comes into its own, every hole is very good. The holes vary with short 4's and short 3's with 14 and 18 which are incredibly difficult. The 16th and 17th were my favourites, the 17th with its slightly raised green gets the nerves going but luckily it was quite calm when we played it. The only complaint is that you cannot carry your clubs which is shame as I am not a big fan of having a caddie.
