The $7-plus million agronomy maintenance facility on Hance Bridge Road includes dual redundant pump systems, an 84-million-gallon engineered reservoir, and SubAir drainage systems across all playing surfaces.

Course Layout & Playing Experience

The championship course is a par-72 layout stretching to over 7,400 yards, routed through two distinct terrain zones: the remnants of an active silica sand mine and adjacent farmland. Sandy waste areas are present on the majority of holes, with particularly prominent hazards at the second, third, fourth, and twelfth. Water comes into play at five holes, including the par-three eighth, which features a near-island green.

Fairways are wide with multiple route options from tee to green — notably at the par-five second, par-four tenth, and par-five eighteenth. Greens are large and undulating, with closely mown surrounds that flow naturally into the next teeing area. A cart tunnel runs beneath Mays Landing Road, connecting the two sides of the routing without interruption.

The short course — The Bullpen — is a reversible, floodlit par-3 layout with holes ranging from 90 to 150 yards. A 30,000-square-foot putting course and short-game area, three-bay performance centre with TrackMan and Force Plate technology, and custom club-fitting facilities complete the golf offering.

Trout National – The Reserve brings a purpose-built, sand-belt destination club to a region of New Jersey defined by sandy Pine Barrens terrain. Designed by TGR Design on a reclaimed silica mine, the layout sits within 48 kilometres (30 miles) of Pine Valley and adds a modern, infrastructure-heavy private club to a corridor already rich in historic courses. For travelling golfers with access to the Mid-Atlantic private club network, it represents the most significant new course opening in southern New Jersey in decades.
