Opened in 1986, The Tytherington Club is a modern and testing championship golf course. It was Headquarters to the Ladies European Tour for ten years before the tour moved to the Buckinghamshire Golf Club.
I played Tytherington on a lovely sunny day as part of a Society which was inaugurated 20 years previousy at this very course.
A good parkland course in lovely countryside ideal for Societies with a friendly club, and some easier but also some very tough holes particularly at the end of the round which gave a very exciting finish to our singles competition.
On the day that we were there one of the holes was shortened to a par 3 in order to provide a very popular, fun place for kids to experience golf for the first time. Bravo !
