Located in the foothills of the Jura mountains, the course at Golf du Val de Sorne is a late 1980s design by Hugues Lambert. Constant elevation changes in the landscape create the ideal environment for positioning raised greens and tee boxes.

The following edited extract is from the Peugeot Golf Guide:
“Laid out over moderately hilly terrain in a rather more American style than British, this course features water hazards on half a dozen or so holes. The course unfolds in a pleasant manner without ever being outstanding.
The greens are averagely large and difficult but sufficiently flat and bunker-free to appeal to all handicaps. Greenkeeping is very decent and the views of the Jura mountains a pretty sight indeed. A pleasant and friendly club with an on-site hotel.”
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
