Val des Lacs

Situated thirty-seven miles northwest of downtown Montreal, the course at Club de Golf Val des Lacs is a Howard Watson design that first opened for play in 1959. Playing to a par of 71, the course now extends to 6,621 yards.

Holes of interest include the two longest par fours on the card (each measuring over 400 yards from the back tees) at the 6th and 14th, with these holes rated stroke index 1 and 2, respectively. The 9th and 18th greens lie close to each other and the same winding creek cuts across the fairway to threaten the approach shot on both holes.

The 511-yard 13th is the only par five on the back nine, doglegging right off the tee into the southeast corner of the property, with the green located at the furthest point from the clubhouse. An irrigation pond and outflow channel from the creek protects the front and right side of the green at the 16th, the final par three on the card.
