Review for Vale of Llangollen

Reviewer Score:

Last course on our week in North Wales. The clubhouse sits above over the course and in the morning sun it looked a picture. Course was in reasonable condition (imagine it gets wet in winter) but found a mix of pace on the greens. A very flat course, I just found that there was a lack of variety in the holes; every drive looked the same to me with trees either side but no real constraints such as fairway bunkering. Lack of hazards/penal bunkers around greens just added to my boredom after a few holes. Best hole was the 9th but even then the drive was wide open. Overall the biggest disappointment along with Nefyn on our week - my order of preference would be Royal St David's, Bangor St Deiniol, Aberdovey, Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Nefyn, Vale of Llangollen
