Vasatorp (Classic)

Since the first time it opened its doors for golfers back in the year 1974 Vasatorps Golfklubb has been one of the major players on the scene of Swedish championship golf. The original course was host to three tournaments, including the Scandinavian Enterprise Open, with Seve Ballesteros, Sandy Lyle and Greg Norman all taking home the title between 1978 and the year 1980.

The golfing portion of Vasatorp has evolved over time, beginning and the club debuted its 18-hole TC golf course in 2008 and then five years later by the revamped Classic course (formerly known as Gamla Banan), which was reopened following a two-year renovation process to coincide with their 40th year anniversary.

Fairways were all remodeled and the putting surface was rebuilt during the course's revamp. several bunkers and greens were moved to ensure that the layout was suitable for use in the present day.

Water hazards are present on half of the holes, but particularly in the first nine, at the left doglegged par five 5th in which a pond is located on the left side from the fairway. In the back half the course, a creek flows across the fairway of 12th hole, before crossing in to the front of green. as you would expect, these two dangerous holes are scored with stroke indexes 1 and 2. the scorecard.
