There’s more to Victor Harbor Golf Club than the scenic elevated first tee which affords panoramic views of Encounter Bay. In fact, the overall golfing experience at this centurion is rather agreeable.

Nice course. Victor Harbor GC is a tranquil parkland course on the outskirts of the town of of the same name, about 90 minutes from Adelaide. A few feature holes with views or interesting design features, but mostly a rural, tree-lined course that is in decent condition, but isn't anything really amazing. Feature holes downhill 1st; par 3 3rd and short blind par 4 18th. Significant number of kangaroos on the course. Decent value.
Now a little off topic, but my OCD was annoying me throughout the round: why was an Australian place named 'Harbor' rather than the more correct 'Harbour'? Apparently, it's as simple as the fact that an early South Australian surveyor was a muppet and just couldn't spell...
More seriously, stay in the Fleurieu area; combine a game here with Links Lady Bay, Mount Compass and maybe McCracken, if you have the time, and you have a decent golf trip.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
