In a long list of impressive designs, Victoria National may be Tom Fazio's best design. Each hole is framed within an old strip mine with several finger-like waterways throughout the golf course. By doing so, it provides a very intimate experience where each hole is separated from the other holes.

Further, it simply does not have a bad hole and seems to get better as the round progresses. Each of the par 3's are special with my favorite being the 11th hole. While the 5th and 16th are also spectacular, they are for the better player, as they don't have an area for the lesser player to miss the green. Further, many of the par 4's are really strong with my favorite being the 2nd hole on the front 9 and the 14, 17 and 18 holes on the back 9.

It is clearly the best golf course in Indiana and certainly one of the top 50 golf courses in the United States.
