Situated close to the Welli Hilli Park ski resort in Gangwon province, the South course at Welli Hill Country Club is the premier layout at a wonderful 36-hole facility designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior which debuted in 2008.
Located some 600 metres above sea level in the mountainous Welli Hilli Park in Hoengseong, the South course has a number of dramatic, even drastic, ups and downs, which RTJII somehow managed to fashion for the resort golfer alongside the eye-candy of white sand flashed bunkers.
The greens have been seeded with creeping bents, fairways with Kentucky bluegrass and fescue planted through the rough. Welli Hilli Country Club originally started out as private facility but was opened to the public in 2016.
