Review for Welwyn Garden City

Reviewer Score:

When you see the card you might be concerned by it's short nature, but despite this, WGC offers a great round of golf. In pristine condition, with a recent bunker renovation program, I was lucky enough to play with one of the members who, having also spoken to some others on course, was one of the most friendly people in a friendly club I've had the pleasure to tee up with, a real commendation for WGC indeed.

The five holes across the road aren't my favourite (12-16), but the 14th is a spectacular par 3, framed between two trees requiring a straight shot over a huge ditch.

The greens and fairways have a lot of contours and thus you have to plot your way around the course, but if you take time to think your shots through, you will have a very good chance to score.
