Daniel Wexler commented in his book The American Private Golf Club Guide: “Weston actually requires the golfer to play across public roads on three separate occasions – an oddity in these overly litigious times.
Though somewhat on the short side, there is a good bit of interest here, highlighted by the 364-yard 7th, an attractive drive-and-pitch played to a green jutting out into a pond. Some hillier terrain affects the 294-yard 8th and 425-yard 9th, while the 406-yard 11th and 346- yard 12th bring water more heavily into play.
For better players, Weston offers a set of gold tees which shorten the 470-yard 6th and 492-yard 18th into dangerous two-shotters, reducing par to 70. Somewhat overshadowed, but worth a look if one is in the neighbourhood.”
It was announced in early 2022 that Andy Staples was developing a master plan for the club which was based largely on detailed Wille Park sketches sourced by the club, 1947 aerial images, and a 1926 master plan drawn up by a Toronto engineering company.
