I recall watching Shells Wonderful World of Golf broadcast at this venue in 2000 and thought, I must find a way.
Two decades later I had a chance as our cruise ship docked for the day and teed it up. Vistas were as I remembered on TV, although the conditions had certainly fallen on hard times.
White bibbed caddies were a nice touch to the round and the course was a treat to play. I can still remember time spend with my father and son at this visually spectacular venue.
