A lovely example of a parkland course. Starting with a testing first drive through the avenue of trees that makes your knees wobble on the back tees it opens up to an undulating layout with well laid bunkers and very true greens. The 10th is a signature hole, a short par 3 from a very high tee. The club selection here is key to scoring. A tough final 2 holes that means any match nor finished by then is wide open. 16th is a disappointing hole where short bunkers have been removed and the lack of real practice facilities bring the course down a mark but would 100% recommend to play it, very enjoyable.
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
