I played Worplesdon on a sunny May '15 Monday morning, mainly accompanied by a delightful longtime female member who joined me around the 5th hole. In addition to being a very pleasant playing companion, she was also invaluable in terms of directing me to my next stop at Woking GC (tricky to find). Regarding Worplesdon, I found the course very well designed and maintained, with the right level of challenge for my 10+ handicap. Difficult to pick a favorite among the Three Ws, but you cannot go wrong with any of them. Having picked up on the fact that perhaps Wentworth and The Berkshire do not overly encourage visitor play (no singles allowed or paired with others, high green fees), I can heartily recommend this layout as a classic English heathland classic. Play it!
