Wyndance

Developed by Empire Communities, the homebuilders, and managed by ClubLink, the ubiquitous golf facility operator, the layout at Wyndance was Greg Norman’s first Canadian course design, opening for play in 2007.

Located on the site of an old quarry, the generously proportioned holes are routed around a reclaimed gravel pit, with many of the fairways flanked by huge sandy waste areas and punctuated by deep, intimidating bunkers.

Apart from the water-threatened par three 8th, all the standout holes at Wyndance Golf Club are played on the back nine, beginning with the short par four 11th. The 16th is ranked as the toughest two-shot hole on the card, whilst the tee shot at the spectacular par five closing hole calls for a forced carry across the quarry.

The club hosted the 93rd edition of the PGA Championship of Canada in 2014, with No. 3 seed Dave Levesque beating No. 1 seed Billy Walsh 2-up in the final of the match play competition.
