Yyteri

The seaside course at Yyteri was founded in 1988 as a golf and tennis facility but was renamed in the late 1990s to Yyteri Golf Links when the tennis disappeared. The course is set close to the famous Yyteri Beach, which measures 6 kilometres and is one of Finland’s longest.

The sandy soiled fairways at Yyteri extend to 5,780 metres from the back tees, with par set at 72 (36 out then 36 in). Both nines begin with testing par fives: the 1st hole double doglegs from tee to green with out of bounds to the right of the hole and the 10th is a tight, tree-lined tester that veers left to a long, raised 2-tiered green.

Highlight holes include the shortest of the par threes at the 138-metre 9th (with water to the left and rear of the green); short par fours at the left doglegging 4th and right doglegging 13th; and the longest hole on the scorecard at the 505-metre 17th (stroke index 1) which plays to a sand and water protected green.
