A large number of tourists travel north to marvel at Inca construction within San Pedro de Atacam or to look at the volcanoes that are Pomerape as well as Parinacota. Golf in Chile began in the 1930s, when Chile's first golf association was established however it was soon dissolved before being replaced with the Chilean Golf Federation (Federacion Chilena de Golf) in 1948. Golf courses are found all over the length of Chile however the majority of them are located in Aconcagua in the north and Santiago. There are currently 60 golf clubs that belong to the Federation.
