Åland Islands

Åland is an autonomous, Swedish-speaking region of Finland and the Aland Islands are located at the mouth of the Baltic Sea between eastern Sweden and southwestern Finland. Åland is made up of more than 6,000 islands covering more than 500 square miles. The Åland Islands are mainly uninhabited and less than 30,000 people live here. In fact, only 65 islands are inhabited and 40% of the population live in the only town, Mariehamn on the main island.
