With breathtaking scenery all around, it’s difficult to concentrate on your game at the spectacular Sandpiper Golf Resort.
A Robert Trent Jones Snr design from the late 1970s, the course at Rivershore Estates and Golf Links lies on the banks of the South Thompson River.
Another design from the prolific Canadian architect Les Furber, the Morningstar golf course measures almost 7,000 yards from the tips and the club has proudly hosted numerous events for both male and female professionals.
Les Furber designed the course at Trickle Creek Golf Resort and the fairways plunge over the foothills of the North Star Mountain in dramatic fashion.
Norman Woods, for many years an associate of Stanley Thompson, laid out the Kokanee Springs Golf Resort course in 1968. Set out as two returning nines, the 18-hole layout plays to a par of 71 over a distance of 6,601 yards.
Designed by Les Furber, Northlands Golf Course was unveiled in 1997. The layout sits on the edge of Mountain Forest in the District of North Vancouver and it’s particularly challenging on the back nine, where Thomas Creek comes into play.
The 18-hole course at Bootleg Gap Golf lies next to St Mary’s River, with tight, tree-lined fairways demanding precision play. The signature hole on the layout is the thrilling par three 12th, which drops 50 feet from tee to green.
The manicured fairways of the public Morgan Creek golf course offer golfers a private club experience all year round.
Golf’s been played at University Golf Club since 1929 and today’s layout extends to 6,531 yards. Holes 2-9 lie on one side of University Boulevard, with the remaining holes and the clubhouse set out on the other side of the road.
The Falls Golf Club course is set in the foothills of Mount Cheam, with fairways routed around towering cedar trees and rocky outcrops. There’s hundreds of feet of elevation change here, most notably at the 229-yard 4th hole.
