Template Golf Holes
Template Golf Holes have become commonplace in the psyche of the modern golfer. Much of America's early golden age golf course architecture is based on famous holes in Britain and Ireland.
The originals are revered in the British Isles with many claiming the templates stateside are perhaps even better than the originals - a debate for another day...
Some template golf holes aren't holes at all... in many instances, the architect borrowed elements from the original that he felt worked particularly well or were worth emulating.
