Top 10 Golf Courses in Bedfordshire 2015
Bedfordshire Best In County rankings updated
12th February 2015
There are only twenty-four golf clubs affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Golf Union, but there are a number of standout courses that fly the flag for this modest golfing county. Once again we polled every club in the county, but less than half responded, so we wonder whether the majority of Bedfordshire clubs are particularly bothered about their relative standing in their county.
Nevertheless, it will come as no surprise to those that know Beds golf to hear that the county’s standard-bearer is once again John O’Gaunt. The main course at this 36-hole facility, which is called John O’Gaunt, came out head and shoulders above the rest. Despite the moderate survey returns, the Beds respondents were all remarkably consistent, rating only 14 courses from a possible 28. Consequently, arriving at a Top 10 was a rather simple procedure. However, apart from the No.1 remaining the same, every other course in the Top 10 changed position and Leighton Buzzard made a mid-table return after falling out of our Bedfordshire Top 10 last time round.

Two clubs went head-to-head for second place and Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands narrowly squeezed Dunstable Downs into third place. The rest of the table has been comprehensively reshuffled.
