Constantly playing new courses as I have since 1960. I have been very fortunate starting with unfettered access to South Florida Courses starting in the early 1960's when I saw them graded out, sprigged with Bermuda and watched them grow in. This led me to say "I want to go play that". I must have played 50 courses or more by High School Graduation.
I have also been or am a member of an Original (NLE) Donald Ross Course, The California Golf Club of San Francisco (CalClub - Macan and Mackenzie), Lehigh (Flynn), Boston Golf Club (Hanse Design) and currently two courses at Colleton River Club (Dye and Nicklaus).
Golf must be fun, strategic, stimulating and thought-provoking. I love True Links, quirk and care less about über-conditioning and especially whether or not there is a tournament history. My focus is on architectural content. I can putt equally as well on stimp 15 as stimp 9, I have lost 20 mph clubbed speed over the years and play up a bit rather than the tips (without breaking a sweat) as I used to.
My favorite course is the next one that I am playing that I have not previously played (see above). Cheers, yes I do answer to redanman
