John Cox

I have been playing golf for over 50 years as a lowish handicapper, now 450 Courses played (seems like more!), a good percentage of them played at least 10 times. My last 12 employed years were as a Golf Club Manager at 2 Clubs; one surrounded by chimney pots, the other in the middle of nowhere. I have been retired since 2012 & now spend my Summers playing golf as competitively as I can (mostly in Seniors Opens) averaging about 65 “Q” Rounds between April & October each year (only 42 in 2020 due to Covid restrictions). In the Winter I play Indoor Bowls. I am very much a fair-weather golfer & am always (now I’m retired) ready to offer opinions on golf in general & on courses in particular, especially those designed by the great Harry Colt.
