Andy Newmarch

I've played golf for around 40 years now, mainly around GB&I but have travelled extensively in the last 15 years to play and have had a great time. Coastal golf remains my favourite style of course and would always be my first choice, in saying that a recent visit to The Links at Fancourt, South Africa gave an instant entry to my personal top 5. Must have played close to 1,000 courses now and love sharing my thoughts on the Top 100 website, which is the best source around to research courses and opinions.

Great links course squashed between the railway and the sea. Holes 1-4 go north, 5-13 south and 14-18 back to north, therefore the wind is a big factor. Pretty as a pictu...

Played the front 9 only but liked what I saw. Pretty non-descript 1st hole (180 yard par 3) (managed a tee shot shot to 7 inches though) but the next 8 holes are varied,...

An awesome golf course. Anywhere near handicap on this course is a good score but it is fair and rewards good shots. You need to be long and straight off the tee or you w...

Two very distinct nines at Tralee with the first half considerably flatter than the back and this makes the front, dare I say it easier. 2nd and 3rd holes are beauties wi...

At the moment, the course here is waiting to mature – it’s just so new and noticeably so. The design is very bold and gets better as the round develops and the finishing...
