Keith Baxter

My love affair with golf courses started more than thirty years ago. I’ve lost count of the number of different courses I’ve played down the years, but I have golfed across four continents and have played more than 90 courses in the Britain & Ireland Top 100. I’ve negotiated thousands of ordinary golf holes over the years and hundreds that are truly excellent, but many memorable experiences involved playing average golf courses in wonderful company. I’m the Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Top 100 Golf Courses and sometimes play to a 10 handicap.

27th North East France - Best in Area 60th France Ranking
Les Dunes is a really enjoyable course which is much more in the mould of a Sunningdale than a Royal Birkdale. Dunes to me indicate a links course and that it is not. It...

Western Gailes 23/04/2006

3rd Ayrshire & Arran - Best in Area 15th Scotland Ranking 37th Britain & Ireland Ranking
Western Gailes is the understated gem of the Ayrshire coast. It doesn't have the pedigree of Turnberry, Troon or Prestwick, but in many ways Western is the best all round...
