As a dad and a husband I am not a member of a club, I don’t have the time if I am to play lots of courses. My main goal is to play new courses and my regular playing partners are the same. I simply love where golf takes me, I love the different styles of golf course you can play, no other sport or game offers you this. I will keep going where golf takes me, I will keep playing wherever I can and I will enjoy every course for whatever it offers.
I won’t comment on the fairway condition as so many other reviews have, only than to say that yes the fairways are suffering, but it really did not bother us. The greens...
South Cliff is a nice course and one of very contrasting holes. Firstly in the main I thought the course was good, it had an interesting layout and certainly from the ho...
Played here yesterday and while it did not help because of the rain I am not sure I would have enjoyed it much in any condition. On top of this we were playing as a 3 ba...
I very much echo the review below. I played here in September 2020 and as others have written the fairways are not great, but work is being done to resolve this and the...
Played here in September 2020 on an at first slightly damp but at the end sunny day. The course is fantastic both on the eye and in it’s conditioning, with the greens bei...
Others may have said, but the pro advised that the members prefer the Blue to the Red and I can understand why. The course has more of a standard flow to it in its make...
36 holes at the Berkshire what is not to like. We started the morning on the red and standing on the first tee a downhill par 5 I thought “ok I better be straight today”...
Played on a lovely evening and enjoyed the round here. The first 11 are hilly so be prepared. The course itself was dry in places on the fairways, we ended up agreeing to...
Our trip to Royal Liverpool was played under the threat of lockdown. Elbows were used instead of handshakes and we made sure we sat away from people in the bar. We did...
A unique course and a bit of fun. Played this course yesterday, the first round since lockdown easing. The last 4 courses I played were in March and included Birkdale a...
There is not a lot more to add than other people have said about this course, it is simply fantastic. In March 2020 when we played this, Wallasey and Royal Liverpool bot...
First off the course had unfortunately just come out of the January and February of 2020 and therefore had received a lot of rain. This unfortunately led to hitting off...
The best part of Richmond is the quality of the course. The fairways, greens and tees are immaculate which means playing here is very fair. The course itself is a nice...
Loved Sheringham, lovely layout where you can watch a steam train come past while you play. Firstly I think it had the best greens of the courses we played up there. Th...
The schedule for the day was England vs Tonga in the Rugby World Cup followed by a 2:30 tee time at Hunstanton. However the threat of heavy rain in the late afternoon me...
The first round of our 3 day tour of Norfolk started at Royal Cromer, with Hunstanton and Sheringham to follow.Royal Cromer starts with a tricky par four playing into the...
I was lucky enough to play here with a member on a very warm Friday afternoon in June and took the option to play of the whites. At just shy of 6600 yards on a par 70 th...
The pros for the course are length, good greens, some interesting holes 4, 6, 8 and 10 spring to mind and great value for money as a visitor in June on a Saturday morning...
Sometimes you play a course and you just love it. You don’t know really why it stands out but it does, maybe you play well, maybe the course just appeals to what you lik...
Ardglass was the last course on our too short a tour of NI. My first introduction to the course was funnily enough as I stood on the 1st at RCD. Upon telling the starter...
